Why customers choose NorthTrail Auto
Calenon’s 110V oil transfer pump is a compact, 1/2 HP electric fuel pump that self-primes and moves up to 18 gallons per minute for diesel, kerosene, biodiesel and light fuel oils.
This compact transfer unit is built for routine fuel handling around farms, workshops, job sites and vehicle fleets where 110V power is available. With a cast-iron pump head and copper-wound motor, it’s designed to offer dependable flow for topping off tanks, refueling equipment and draining drums when used with compatible hoses and fittings.
How fast and reliably will it move fuel?
The CALENON pump is rated up to 18 GPM under appropriate operating conditions, driven by a 1/2 HP motor suited to frequent light- to medium-duty transfers. Expect steady flow when suction lift is within the specified limits and the intake is set up correctly.
- Maximum flow: up to 18 gallons per minute.
- Motor: 1/2 HP, 110V plug-in power.
- Self-priming capability after correct hose and fitting installation.
- Best performance when suction and lift are within manufacturer limits.
What fuels can I safely transfer with this unit?
This pump is intended for diesel, biodiesel, kerosene and light fuel oils only. It is not designed for gasoline, alcohols, aviation fuels, water-containing fluids, edible liquids or fluids thicker than diesel; using incompatible fluids can damage the pump and void safe operation.
- Approved: diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, light fuel oil.
- Not approved: gasoline, alcohols, aviation fuel, food-grade liquids, water-mixed fluids.
- Do not operate unattended or without following safety and grounding practices.
- Disconnect power before servicing or cleaning.
How does the self-priming and lift capability work for different setups?
After hoses and fittings are properly connected, the pump will create suction to pull fuel from a source up to the specified lift distances. It supports a combination of lift and suction useful for drums, tanks and gravity feed arrangements, but optimal installation reduces air ingress and keeps repeat priming to a minimum.
- Max total lift: up to 49 ft when conditions permit.
- Max suction lift (vertical draw): up to 16 ft.
- Supplied components: two hose barb adapters, one filter screen, two hose clamps and two O-rings for 3/4" NPT setups.
- Hoses, nozzles, meters and auto shut-off accessories are not included.
What construction and accessories are included to support durability?
The pump combines a cast iron pump head with a copper-wound motor and a rear cooling cover to stand up to routine use in non-corrosive fuel applications. A stable mounting base helps fasten the unit in fixed or semi-permanent installations where 110V is accessible.
- Durable materials: cast iron pump head and copper-wound motor.
- Cooling: rear cover for heat dissipation during operation.
- Mounting: stable base suitable for fixed or semi-fixed placement.
- Included fittings: two 3/4" NPT hose barb adapters and a strainer filter screen.
Who is this for? The CALENON 110V 18 GPM oil transfer pump is aimed at farmers, fleet managers, contractors and hobbyists who need a reliable, electrically powered pump for moving diesel, kerosene, biodiesel and light oils between drums, tanks and vehicles. It suits fixed or semi-permanent setups in garages, workshops and job sites where 110V power is available and compatible hose accessories can be fitted. If you require transfer of prohibited fluids, automatic nozzle shutoff, or a higher horsepower continuous-duty solution, consider alternative models that match those specific needs.
