Dacall CF12820 Cabin Air Filter for Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, CF12820 Filter activated carbon, reinforced frame

The Dacall CF12820 is an activated carbon cabin air filter engineered to replace OEM cabin filters in compatible Hyundai, Kia and Genesis models for cleaner, odor-reduced airflow inside your vehicle.

This reinforced honeycomb carbon-bead filter is a direct-fit replacement for multiple factory part numbers and model years. It uses a rigid non-foldable frame to keep its shape under airflow, and a dense carbon layer to help trap odors, dust and airborne particles before they enter the passenger compartment. Designed for straightforward swap-in installation, the filter is intended to restore cabin air quality and help your HVAC system run efficiently when changed at recommended intervals.

How do I install the CF12820 and which side faces incoming air?

Installation is intended to be quick and tool-light—access the cabin filter housing, remove the old filter, and slide in the new Dacall unit without bending it. The frame is non-foldable, so do not crease it while fitting; this preserves performance and fitment.

• Place the blue side toward incoming outside air and the black carbon side facing the blower or cabin outlet.
• Don't bend or fold the filter; keep the reinforced honeycomb frame intact during installation.
• Verify seating and seals before reassembling the housing to avoid air bypass.

What benefits can I expect after replacing my cabin filter?

Swapping in a fresh Dacall activated carbon filter can reduce common cabin odors and limit the amount of particulate and contaminants circulating through your ventilation system. Properly maintained filters also let the HVAC system move air with less resistance.

• Odor control from activated carbon beads helps mask exhaust and environmental smells.
• Reinforced frame maintains airflow channels for consistent ventilation performance.
• Cleaner filters reduce blower strain, improving comfort delivery and system quietness.

How often should I change this cabin filter?

Replace intervals depend on driving conditions, but Dacall recommends a regular schedule to keep airflow and filtration effective. Check the filter visually if you drive in dusty or polluted environments.

• Suggested replacement: every 12,000 miles or once every 12 months under normal use.
• Replace sooner if you notice reduced airflow, increased odors, or heavy debris buildup.
• Follow your vehicle manufacturer’s maintenance guidance alongside this recommendation.
